My friend and I were quite hungry after our support group so we went out to McDonald’s afterwards. It brought back so many memories from my childhood.
We went to McDonald’s a lot. I remember this summer my sister and I were still up at 5:30 in the morning and we asked our Dad to go to to McDonald’s for a McFlurry before he went to work. But they don’t serve it at that time.
My grandparents would take us out to the McDonald’s playground after swimming.
Those were the good ol’ days.
This is why I said surprises can be fun earlier because some surprises aren’t as fun. I hate to admit this but when it comes to certain of things I’d like to be control things, I like the feelings of being prepared for something.
Surprises are kind of difficult because I don’t know what to expect. At the same time it is a reminder to not control things instead let things happen as they happen.

Today I went to a baby shower. It was fun. We had a lot of treats – cupcakes, chips and dip and many more.
I really enjoyed this one dish. It was this awesome dip for Tostitos chips. I don’t know the exact recipe but it had sour cream with green onions, tomatoes and shredded cheese and then at the bottom it had guacamole.
I never had this before but I always thought it would have been interesting to try it.
I enjoy being an inspiration to others. Today, even though my plans got postponed my friend invited me for a cup of tea. That was something that kept getting postponed so many times.
It was nice to catch up for a bit. He’s been meaning to read my blog for awhile now so he finally got the opportunity to browse through my posts.
I was told that it was quite an inspirational blog, his words, not mine. I’m glad that I am able to inspire others.
Yesterday I was working the dinner rush on a Saturday so it was quite stressful. A dear co-worker of mine told me to slow down and take my time.
She also told me that I shouldn’t doubt myself. And she reminded me to always be confident.
Even if I wasn’t confident, I was told to pretend.
It was nice for others to offer me their encouraging wisdom.
This isn’t new for me but it’s new for my boyfriend.
Anyway,I was at his place and since it was raining and we didn’t feel like cooking so we ordered in. We had pizza – pineapple, pepperoni and green peppers. My favourite pizza ever! And of course we had bread – cheese bread with Mariana sauce. It was scrumptious as always. 🙂
When I was at work today, a customer was telling me that her and her sister bought her mom the gift card that she gave to me to pay for her order. And then she later added that their mother had passed away last week. They were starting to sort through her belongings and stumbled upon this. She told me that this was their mom’s favourite restaurant and that she enjoyed this place.
I told her that I was sorry to hear about her mother’s passing.
I hope that they have a lot of fun and loving memories of her and that they will cherish forever.
One of my co-workers told me to come in an hour before my scheduled shift so I agreed. This order came before my scheduled time so it felt like I was meant to take her order and be more appreciative of the people in my life.
Because before I know it they can be gone in a blink of eye. I have to make the most of it count.

I know this isn’t new but today my Dad picked me up for work and he offered me a piece of candy that I haven’t had in forever! It bought back so many childhood memories.
I enjoyed that moment.
