Gala Apple

My boyfriend and I are trying to eat more healthier compared to what we used to eat. Mind you we aren’t going to be healthy every day there will be times where we can break the rules.

Today we had our apple, like they say “An apple keeps the doctor away.” I had a Gala Apple. I love apples especially during this time of year. πŸ™‚

Mannerism Is Not Common As It Should Be

Since Thanksgiving (well my Thanksgiving) is approaching one may think that this time of year is the perfect opportunity to show others their thanks and gratitude but instead it is the complete opposite.

No one says “Thank you” or “please” as much anymore.People should take the time to show someone how grateful they are no matter what. It isn’t difficult to let someone know.

Today, I will it be a known fact that someone’s effort is appreciated. Sprinkle your day with gratitude and love. πŸ™‚ ❀

One Thing – Saving Money

As of lately I have been worrying about my future and about how I will be able to afford it. I’ve been striving to save as much money as I can. I have a lot of plans for my future such as school, buying a house (like six or so years from now) and starting a family.

I have been trying to cut back on unnecessary shopping trips and other unnecessary purchases. I also transfer money into my savings at the end of the month and then I put five percent of my pay into my savings.

It’s not much but it’s a start.

Chicken Stir Fry

After I finished work I went grocery shopping because I was making my boyfriend and I dinner.

I bought chicken, carrots, peppers, pumpkin puree (for future recipes), bagels (for our breakfast) and cookies.

I went to my boyfriend’s where his ma and I socialized for a bit whilst I chopped the peppers and the chicken.

His brother taught me how to use their rice maker. I fried up the peppers and chicken. Then I added peppers to the chicken. I added this already made stir fry sauce.

I placed rice in a bowl and placed the vegetables and chicken on top.

Estaba delicioso! πŸ™‚ (It was delicious!)

Life Is Like A Flower

Whilst I was watering my African Violet – which just re-blossomed last week, I noticed that life is a lot like flowers.

Life is blossoming. If you allow yourself to sit in darkness dwelling in negativity you will never reach the light. It’s important to embrace the positive in your life. No matter how difficult that may be there is always something good in your life.

Drinking water is important.

Always look on the brighter side of life.

You will always grow through the hardships but you will make it.

Today, I will not allow myself to dwell in negativity. I will create something beautiful. For it is never too late to re-blossom.

Mariah Carey – It’s Like That

My boyfriend and I are watching Prison Break. I love that show. I Β also admire Wentworth Miller who is in the show and in this video.

But my favourite lyric from this song is why I view this song as a positive song…

“‘Cause it’s my night
No stress, no fights
I’m leavin’ it all behind
No tears, no time to cry
Just makin’ the most of life”

No matter what you are dealing with remember, let go of the negative and embrace the positive! There is always something to be grateful for.

Hawaiian Pizza With A Twist

I was at my boyfriend’s and we were going to have soup but I don’t like tomatoes and the soup was made with this tomato paste so we had to get something else. We ordered a pizza instead.

We had double cheese, pineapple, Brooklyn pepperoni with green peppers. Absolutely amazing!! I loved it. πŸ™‚ ❀

Living In the Now

Whilst I was watching the Super Moon I was thinking to myself that this is a good practice to live in the moment and to solely focus on one thing at at time.

This was difficult because I was talking to my boyfriend on the phone because I was supposed to be with him to see it. But hopefully we will be for the next one in 2033. πŸ™‚ ❀

Today I will only allow my mind to focus one thing at a time. One day at a time. And that is the secret to mindfulness.
