J.K. Rowling’s and Harry Potter’s Birthday

This is one of my favourite days of the year, because it is J.K. Rowling’s and Harry Potter’s birthday, and to celebrate I watch Harry Potter movies, and read Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

I love how different and how groundbreaking it was when Harry Potter was first published. I became obsessed it with because my aunt and uncle bought the books for my sister as a Christmas present. She let me borrow them and that was when I fell in love with Hermione Granger. I love her because I was able to relate to her the most.

I am so thrilled to have grown up with a magical series. My favourite characters are Hermione Granger, and Luna Lovegood. My favourite book and movie is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Feel free to share any of your favourite characters, quotes, movies, and books, and whatever else Harry Potter.

What I love about this quote is that Rowling is encouraging us to be adventurous and to not let fear hold us back from what we would like to achieve. This quote has gotten me through so much since I was one of those people to stay in my comfort zone and watch life pass me by. But now I have learned to be more daring with my life. Being brave, within reason, and not worrying about life is an amazing feeling. I mean reasonable adventures, not ones that will either result in you getting arrested or something that will get you killed. Mistakes are life’s best teachers. Never miss an opportunity to learn something new.

Never Lose Yourself

It’s another Eckhart Tolle Friday. It’s where I talk about a quote from Eckhart Tolle. He is a spiritual teacher and reminds us to stay in the present moment. I came across this picture in my Facebook memories from a few years ago.

What I love about this picture and quote is that it lets us know that no matter what our possessions that we own, may come and go, but who we are as a person never leaves.

Some people own things to only replace it for the “next best thing”. But the qualities that makes us remain with us. We never lose them. And if we are lost, and going through something, those hardships will help us find who we are, in case we don’t already know who we are. No matter where we are going, we always find our true selves, and never lose ourselves. Despite our hardships, we always become the person we are destined to become.

Day 39 of 192

For the past 39 days I have vowed to remove one item from my life, and I am already starting to feel the difference in my life.

Today since I have finished this tea, and I have a lot of these tins, I decided to recycle this. I have already set aside some to repurpose them into a pens, pencil holder, and another is for my paint brushes. Although I have been waiting for my boyfriend to help with this project.

I am quite happy with all of this progress so far, and I ever look forward for the day to come where I only have the things that spark joy and add value to my life. Although I do have a lot of work ahead of me. Life is a journey so I don’t mind the hard work that lies ahead of me.

Thankful Thursdays #5

I had an eventful week, so there is a lot to thankful for.

  1. I am thankful because I got to hang out with my cousin on Tuesday. We picked up a box of pizza from a local store, and brought it with us to a nearby park for a picnic. It was a joyous time. It was the first time we had hung out in a really long time since we have been in quarantine and social distancing. And I am also hanging out in her backyard at the moment.
  2. I recently just received my tea order, after what seemed like awhile.
  3. In the tea order, I received tea I haven’t even tried yet. I have received a new traveler mug, because it’s in my favourite colour.
  4. I saw my dentist after having my fixed my chipped tooth, from my car accident, eight months ago.
  5. When my cousin was walking me to my bus stop, we saw this beautiful fountain in her neighbourhood.

Day 38 of 192

My Grandma had given this dress and when I tried this on, it was really tight, and I thought this with exercising and eating healthy it would make a difference. Unfortunately, several of years have passed, and it still doesn’t fit. So I figured it was never meant to be, and that’s okay.

Taxi Driver

So I have had quite the busy week, so I haven’t been able to write as much as I had hoped, but you will still get something.

For those who don’t know, I am writing a story of a taxi driver. And the plot of the story is that how the driver doesn’t ask his passengers where they need to go, but takes them where they need to be instead.

The taxi driver is a 36 year old man, named Theodore Henderson. He has been a taxi driver for 17 years now, so he is one of the most experienced taxi driver in the neighbourhood, everyone is always thrilled to have him as their taxi driver.

He has been married to Amelia for the last nine years now. They have three kids, Sarah who is seven years old, Evan who is four years old, and Olivia who is two years old.

They are other characters who are known are secondary characters as well. I am still in the early stages of planning this out. The story is going to feature him driving three passengers, and talk about about their experiences.

I am really excited to begin writing this.

Career of Evil

Day 38 of 192

I received this as a Christmas present from my mama many of years ago. I feel bad because I have only worn this a few times, so I realized that I should have given this away awhile ago.

So I feel bad that I kept in unworn in my closet for several of years.

Day 37 of 192

This is Tuesday’s items. I found that I kept way too tank tops. But now only a selected few made the cut. And I couldn’t be happier.

I know it is a pretty colour, but someone else can be happier with this tank top instead.
