Top Ten Tuesdays #14 – December 1st, 2020

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

The rules are simple: Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want. Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.

This week it is about Books I Want to Read Again, or Books I Wish I Could Read Again For the First Time.

  1. All of the Harry Potter books
I really wish I had my collection with these covers, but that’s okay.

I would love re-reading them from time to time. I feel like they become more magical every time I re-read them.

2. Eat Pray Love

I loved the book, and the movie. I enjoy re-living the first time I experienced this book and movie.

3. The BFG

My boyfriend and I read this book together a few years ago. We thought it was really good.

4. To Kill A Mockingbird

I fell in love with this book when I read it in the tenth grade.

5. Charlotte’s Web

I first read this book in grade seven, I thought it was a touching and a heartfelt book. I can’t wait to re-read it. It’s a beautiful story about friendship.

6. The Year of Yes

I enjoyed this book, I thought it was a smart and funny book. It inspires me to be a better person.

7. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

I remember these books in high school, after watching the movies, years prior. I loved these stories so much.

8. Gone Girl

This book was a lot of fun to read. I wish I had read the book, before I saw the movie. It was still a good book. I probably wouldn’t read it again, or at least not for awhile. But I wish I was able not to know the ending, so I can read it without knowing what was going to happen.

9. Turn of the Key

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a thriller, so I wouldn’t be reading this since I already know the mystery. But I wish I can travel back in time, to be able to read it all over again. This book wanted me to read other Ruth Ware’s books. I enjoyed her writing.

10. The Couple Next Door

I borrowed this book from my Grandma, and it was a really good book. I wish I was able to go back in time to write the book for the first time, and not be able to see that twist happen. It was well done.

Wow I love these since I’ve read most of them. And yes, I too sometimes wish I could go back in time and be able to read that book again. Good news, i’ve been out of touch with books for such a looonnnnggg time. I’ve started reading again since last one week and I feel as if the world is better once again. I wonder why did i ever stop reading!

You know there was a time when I would read books while eating, traveling for work. I was wondering where all the time went and I realized it was spent watching Netflix. Now that I’m limiting my Netflix time to half an hour a day, I’m finding more time to read and it’s amazing for my brain to not overthink about things that don’t matter. I’m hell bent on keeping books by my side even when I sleep so that I can drift off into a fantasy world! :p

I used to do in middle school, I would read while I ate breakfast and dinner. Read while I was walking in the halls. Read past my bedtime, and quickly turned off my light whenever I heard my mom walk by my room.

Yes, reading is amazing. I love it!
