The rules are simple, you get rid of things from your life, either by selling them, throwing them away, or donating them. On the first day, you remove one item, and then on the second day, you remove two items, you keep on playing until it’s the end of the month, or whenever you run out of things to remove from your life. It is okay if you can’t make it until the end of the month. Personally, I would rather see items get donated, or sold to someone else. If you must throw something away, I hope it’s because it isn’t fixable. Even if you have removed three items from your life, you should still be proud of that, because it is three more things you removed before the challenge. But if you are able to complete this challenge, you would have got rid of almost 500 items! That’s a lot of stuff.
If you are participating, I would love to know what you are parting with, feel free to let me know in the comments. This is such a fun way to welcome Spring cleaning.
So far I have parted away with 36 items. I am starting to feel a bit lighter already. I can’t wait to make it to the end of the month, because by then I would have parted away with 500 items. That is so exciting for me. I feel very proud of myself for partaking in this challenge.

I am getting rid of two mini backpacks. I am going to give them to my Grandma because I am sure that she will know someone who would want and or need them.
I was given this Name A Star kit, which I’m not sure how it works. But I apparently spent too much thinking of a really cool name for a star, I realized that it had expired. Which is too bad, but then I learnt that I was technically naming a star for Nasa, so… I’m not sure how it actually works.
I had those two towels from my childhood, they were probably part of my birthday presents. They are now old and raggedy. So maybe my Grandma could use them as rags for cleaning, or do something else with them. I already have enough towels.
I have three plants that unfortunately they all passed away. So I’m sure my Grandma can use these for her plants.
