Hey bookworms! Let’s talk about books!

I have a lot of books I would love to read. I am trying to spend more reading to try to work through my To Be Read List. I would love to know what is on your To Be Read List.

The book I chose to talk about this week is A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, who also wrote The Secret Garden. I bought the book, a few years back, because my sister and I were obsessed with the movie. I have never read the story before. I was thinking about reading this weekend.

It’s about this little girl, Sara Crew who goes to boarding school. Her Dad (who is a widower) is also the Captain of the British Navy. She comes from a wealthy family. She has superior clothes, and he is able to get her, her own room while she is in boarding school. She receives lavish presents from her father. Her father’s riches pays for her tuition. Suddenly on her birthday, the Head Mistress pulls Sara aside to tell her that her father has died. In order for her to stay at boarding school, she must become a servant to her fellow classmates. Because her father paid for her room, she was no longer allowed to stay her elegant room, instead she had to stay in the attic, with the other servant.

I don’t want to spoil too much of the story, or the movie. It is the most beloved story in all of children’s literature. It’s a wonderful story. If you ever get the chance to read it, or watch the movie, you totally should. I cannot wait for my niece to read it when she’s older.

This is the post where we discuss what is on our To Be Read List, and why we want to read these books. I have over 1,400 books on my To Be Read List. I have so much reading to do. What are some of the books on your To Be Read List?

This week I am going to talk about The Queen’s Gambit. It has become super popular, thanks to the Netflix series. The book was first published back in 1983. I haven’t seen the Netflix series yet, since I’ve been waiting to get it from my library. I have heard great things about the show, and the book. I am really excited to watch it and read it.

It is about an eight year old orphan. She is seen as a coy little girl, that is until she plays her first her game of chess. She begins to think more clearly, and finally feeling like she is in control of her life. At the age of 16, she begins to participate in competitions.

Hey bookworms! Let’s talk about books!

I have a lot of books I would love to read. I am trying to spend more reading to try to work through my To Be Read List.

I have bought this book, Help Me: My Perfectly Disastrous Journey Through the World of Self-Help for my boyfriend as one of his birthday presents two years ago. I feel bad because in those two years, neither one of us have read it, yet. I am planning on reading this book once I finish reading my library books.

This book sounds similar to The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin. It’s similar because Marianne Power plans on reading 12 self-help books in one year. And each month, she plans on following exactly what the book preaches, and then she would see if that book had benefited in some way. She investigates whether or not reading self help books can make your life any better.

This is the post where we discuss what is on our To Be Read List, and why we want to read these books. I have over 1,300 books on my To Be Read List. I have so much reading to do.

This week I would love to talk about P.S. I Love You. It’s about this young couple, who are in their 30s, plan on living with the rest of their lives together. Until her love of her life, Gerry is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Knowing that he is about to die, he decides to write Holly letters so she has something to remember him by. Shortly after he passes away, Holly is upset, and refuses to move on without Gerry. She must find a way to accept his loss, and sort of live out her life.

I watched the movie awhile ago with my mom, and I loved it a lot. I am really looking forward to reading this book.

Hey bookworms! This is where we post and talk about the books on our To Be Read List, and the ones we would like to read next. I would love to hear what books are on your list.

I have a lot of books on my list. This week I wanted to talk about, Lock Every Door by Riley Sager. It is a psychological thriller.

It tells the story of Julie, who just lost her boyfriend, and her job in one day. She then finds this amazing job as an apartment sitter in the most pristine building in New York City. Home of the rich and famous people. The rules of her new job is that she isn’t allowed to have any visitors over, or spend any nights out of her apartment. And it is also frown upon to talk to the other tenants in the building. But then she begins to take interest in one of the tenants…

I have a never ending To Be Read List, which I am trying really hard to read a lot of those books. I would love to know what some of the books you have on your To Be Read List, and why. Here is one of the books on my list.

This week I picked to talk about The Wives by Tarryn Fisher. I just got it from the library not too long ago, so I am really excited to read it.

I have heard this is a fast paced thriller. A woman discovers that her husband has two other wives, and she doesn’t anything about the other woman, but she is okay without not knowing about them, because she is so crazy in love with her husband. But she soon learns a horrifying story about her husband, a story that she hasn’t heard before.

I’m really excited to read this one. I enjoy a good thriller. Because I love all of the twists and turns that this genre has to offer.

Hey bookworms!

This is a post about us discussing one of the books in our To Be Read List and talking about why we would like to read it

One of the books that I actually haven’t gotten around to reading, yet is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis. I feel like I am missing out, since I have not read the series, let alone this book, or seen the movie. I have been slowly going through my books from childhood. I am getting excited for my niece to be able to read. She is almost two, so she will be able to read in a few years, give or take. I cannot wait to enjoy all of these classics with her.

Has anyone read this classic, or are there still a few people, like me who hasn’t gotten around to read this, yet? Also, I would love to know which book you would like to read soon. Leave a comment below.

This is a post about us discussing one of the books in our To Be Read List and talking about why we would like to read it. I would love to know what is on your To Be Read List.

I don’t know who knows this, but I have a lot of books on my To Be Read List. I wish I had enough to read all of the books in the whole world. But I am trying my best to make a big dent with my books this year.

One of the books on my To Be Read List is The Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I would love to read this because it has romance, history and fantasy with the time travelling. It is about a girl named Claire who is celebrating her second honeymoon with her husband after World War II, but she suddenly becomes an “Outlander” when she is magically transported into 1743. I want to read the books, so I can watch the show on Netflix. I always prefer to read the books, before I watch the movie, or show.

What is something you wish to read soon?

This is a post about us discussing one of the books in our To Be Read List and talking about why we would like to read it. I would love to know what is on your To Be Read List.

One of my books on my never-ending To Be Read List is The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger. I have had this book on my book shelf for a few years now, and I would love to actually read this book this year. I have seen the movie twice, and on the second time I had watched the movie, I made a vow that I would actually read the book. I have started expanding my genres a bit. I like fantasy since I loved Harry Potter, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. But one of my goals is to read more fantasy books. I cannot wait to read this book, and compare it to the movie. And then I can reward myself by watching the movie again.

What is a book that is on your To Be Read List?

I forgot to write about this yesterday, so here it is.

This is a post about us discussing one of the books in our To Be Read List and talking about why we would like to read it. I would love to know what is on your To Be Read List.

I have had Anne of Green Gables on my bookshelf for a few years now, and I haven’t gotten around to this classic yet. My boyfriend and I were planning to take a trip to Eastern Canada about two years ago, but we just never gotten around to take a vacation. And for those that may not know, the book takes place in Eastern Canada. I would have loved to have read it before we vacationed out there. But hopefully we will be able to do that in the upcoming years.

I heard so many great things about this book, I can’t wait to read it!
