Clean Sheets

A few months ago, I thought of the idea of writing about little things we can do to be happy. I know that times like these, it may seem a bit challenging to feel happy. Every week, I write about small activities that can boost our happiness, without much effort. I like to call it Feel Good Fridays.

If you had a long day, this is the perfect way to end a stressful day, is by curling up in bed with clean sheets. To experience the feelings of happiness, take a shower before going into bed. I love cleaning and changing my sheets. It feels amazing. It definitely boosts my happiness, and it helps eases my anxiety from the day.

Make Your Bed

In this edition of Feel Good Fridays, let’s try to work on improving ourselves for the better. We don’t have to spend a lot of time making ourselves feel good, even if it’s just 15 minutes, or even five minutes a day. The idea of Feel Good Fridays is help us become happier without much effort.

Today’s suggestion is make your bed. I feel that if you start the day with making your bed, you will accomplished something, and by completing that task, you would want to complete another task, and then before you know it, you would have completed your entire to-do list, or just feel accomplished about what you have accomplished. When you accomplish more things on your to-do list, you begin to feel less stressed about it. Which also helps you to feel better.

What I normally like to do, is when I get out of bed, I fold the sheets over to the foot of the bed, so my fitted sheet has time to breathe. During that time, I make and eat breakfast, and then I get dressed. Once I finish those things, I then make my bed.

Day Nine

Hi there! Today is about having a bed to rest on. It might be the biggest or the best bed you have ever dreamt of, but I’m sure it’s still a good one to rest up and sleep away your worries.

I am thankful for my bed because it gives my body a chance to replenish my soul after a long day from work or just from having a bad day. I know whatever my day brings me, I know I can cuddle up in my bed under warm blankets and soft pillows and have a cozy night in reading my books.

What makes you grateful for your bed?

Daily Cleaning Schedule

What makes my weekly cleaning schedule easy, are the things I do everyday. If I spend some time everyday, it all helps. And doing these chores helps if and when unexpected guests show up.

  1. Make the bed. I always make the bed every day. It is important for me to make my bed since it sets the tone and atmosphere for the day. It’s the little things that make the big difference. If you accomplish one thing, it snowballs to make you want to accomplish the next thing, and the thing after that. It gives you a desire to want to get more things done. And who doesn’t like to curl up in a made bed after a long day?
  2. Wash the dishes. I wash the dishes after every meal so they don’t pile up. For me, it is important to have a clean kitchen. I just could never work in a messy kitchen. After all, the kitchen is the heart of the house.
  3. Put things away. I have a home for everything, so whenever I am done with something, I just put it back. This not only saves me time but, it allows for me to remain organized.
  4. Attend to spills right away. For instance if something spills in the fridge, or anywhere else, I always clean it right away. It is so much easier to clean something when it just happened, instead of waiting for the spill to soak in.

One Thing – I Care

Before my boyfriend and I went to work I went over to my boyfriend’s for tea and breakfast. He made us pancakes whilst I sliced the strawberries.

It was a joyous breakfast. Since I left after him I made the bed and wrote him a note like I always do. Although this time I forgot to bring my paper so I had to ask his little sister for paper. Thankfully she had one.

I left my favourite pen (but I have multiples) there from whenever…

I always place his letter on his pillow. I’m so cute. 🙂 ❤

One Thing – My Bed

I have my Al-Anon book and my Language of Letting Go by Melody Beattie beside my pillow so I read that after breakfast. I decided to keep that there. I have a lot of books on my night table so I moved them to my book shelf which resulted in me rearranging things on my book shelf.

It felt nice to rearrange and organize that. I also dusted my night table.

I was going to wash my sheets but my boss called me into work so I have to do that another day.
