Like A Butterfly

I had a very fun and sociable day. I had breakfast with my amazing boyfriend. We had cinnamon raisin bagels with green tea which was supposed to start us off on the right foot.

After I relaxed for a bit I washed the dishes from last night dinner’s, we were too tired to clean up afterwards. Anyway then his brother came downstairs and we had lunch together. Then I finished up with the dishes and I tidied my boyfriend’s room well our room.

Although this wasn’t very sociable but I ended up falling asleep whilst I was watching a movie. I did a lot of things yesterday that just wiped me out.

I hung out with his brother, their mama, his sister and her boyfriend until my mama came and picked me up.

My sister was with her and we went grocery shopping and made a chicken stir fry. It was good.

Today, I will take time to catch up with others and embrace the positive energy. It is good to keep someone company.

The Future

I had breakfast at my boyfriend’s today and his sister joined. It was the first time the three of us had breakfast together.

Anyway it was an enjoyable breakfast. We talked about our future – our wedding, our honeymoon, our children. It was fun. I don’t know how we started talking about that but we did.

Today, I will think of how the decisions I make now will shape my future.

Pumpkin Spiced Cinnabons

Whilst I was at the grocery store I came across cookies that have pumpkins on them and pumpkin spiced cinnanon rolls. I figured that they would make an awesome breakfast with my boyfriend.

It was so good. I love pumpkin everything! Although that pumpkin pasta wasn’t the greatest, in my opinion.

My boyfriend took this photo – it is picture perfect. 🙂 ❤

Doing Something Special

I always love showing people that I care about them. My favourite person is boyfriend. Whenever I come up for breakfast, he would leave for work before I do so I get to make the bed and write him a note. I place it on his pillow but this time I hid it in his sweater pocket.

I’m surprised how fast he found his note. It was after I gave him a hint of course. He loves my notes and carefully stores them in his notebook. I love that he loves my letters.

Today I will do something small things for someone I care about. For it is the small things that take up the big spots in your heart. ❤

One Thing – I Care

Before my boyfriend and I went to work I went over to my boyfriend’s for tea and breakfast. He made us pancakes whilst I sliced the strawberries.

It was a joyous breakfast. Since I left after him I made the bed and wrote him a note like I always do. Although this time I forgot to bring my paper so I had to ask his little sister for paper. Thankfully she had one.

I left my favourite pen (but I have multiples) there from whenever…

I always place his letter on his pillow. I’m so cute. 🙂 ❤

Strawberries and Nutella

I bought these strawberries in hopes of that I would have them sliced up with my pancakes that my boyfriend and I were going to make tomorrow morning. But the schedule changed after I bought what I needed.

So I decided to make a snack using this and Nutella. It was tasty. 🙂

Pumpkin French Toast

I had breakfast with my boyfriend today, it was great as usual. Today we made Pumpkin French Toast.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 9 slices Texas toast (or other white bread such as Challah or French bread)
  • Butter, for griddle

Directions

  • Preheat an electric griddle to 350 degrees (a non-stick skillet set over medium heat also works fine). In a mixing bowl whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger until well combined. Pour into a shallow dish.
  • Butter griddle and dip bread into egg mixture (allowing a few seconds for it to absorb mixture. I also squeeze gently to soak the mixture to center), then rotate and coat opposite side. Transfer to griddle and cook until golden brown on bottom, then lift, butter griddle once more and flip french toast to opposite side and cook until golden brown. Serve warm with butter and maple syrup.

Him and I used Cinnamon Raisin Bread and since we only used five slices of bread, we decided to just add three eggs instead of four.

We also made Earl Grey Vanilla tea. My boyfriend makes the best tea. We added a little bit of butter to our finished product as well as sugar and cinnamon.
