Hazelnut Chocolate Tea Latte

When I was at my sister’s house, I got to try this new tea, that I have been wanting to try for a few weeks now. I was so happy to see that they bought some.

It is a pur’eh tea, so it is an energizing tea. Which is helpful when I babysit my niece. Mostly because my sister and her boyfriend work early, which means I have to be at their house early.

I tried a cup at my sister’s house, and grabbed a tea bag for later.

This tea was creamy, and decadent. It tasted exactly like the chocolate hazelnut spread. I can eat that by the spoon full. I will definitely be buying more this soon.

Christmas Traditions in Iceland

The one good thing about this whole pandemic is that because of the lockdown, my boyfriend and I don’t have to travel anywhere. I am not trying to sound rude, but I am trying to look at the positives of not being able to see my family over Christmas.

I will definitely be doing this with my boyfriend tomorrow. I have decided that I am going to read Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan.

Another fun fact is that the majority of all books that gets published in Iceland happen near Christmas time, so people can buy their books to read on Christmas Eve.

The Absolute Festive Tea Latte

Yesterday I made the best festive drink ever for Tea Tuesdays. I finally get to showcase my other Christmas mugs.

It’s basically a Candy Cane Hot Chocolate with Eggnog as a tea latte!

First I steeped my Candy Crush tea. I was running low on my loose tea leaves. I have some bagged tea, but I didn’t want to waste them. So I decided to add some hot chocolate to it, since there wasn’t a lot of tea.

I added some hot chocolate powder to my milk frother, that has eggnog in it.

The after! It was so delicious. I will definitely be making this again! It was creamy, very rich. Although I tasted a lot of the hot chocolate than I did candy cane, but that’s okay. It was amazing!

Here is a closer look at my mug, well, I should say my boyfriend’s (mug). I got it for him for Christmas last year.

S’mores Chai Latte

It’s another edition of Tea Tuesdays. Today’s edition is extra chocolatey! I normally make my lattes with regular milk, but I used chocolate milk instead. It froths nicely, but it isn’t as creamy as regular milk. It was still delicious.

The tea itself contains pieces of chocolate bits, marshmallows, and graham crackers. It’s a pu’erh tea, which gives you a boost of energy. The chocolate and marshmallows gives it an extra decadent taste, not overly sweet, but just the perfect amount of sweetness. I added a few mini marshmallows on top of my latte, and some milk chocolate bits. It was amazing!

I made one for my boyfriend, as well. My mug is the S’mores. I saw it when my boyfriend and I were shopping a few years ago. It was on sale, so I had bought it. Which is perfect because that Autumn I saw this S’mores Chai tea. When I tried this tea it made me love my mug even s’more!

My boyfriend loves Koi fish, so I happily purchased this mug for him. He loves it.

Thankful Thursdays #21

I feel that this has been a wonderful week, and I am thankful for the events that have happened.

I hope you spend some time, thinking and expressing gratitude for the things that has happened this week.

  1. I have had time to have readathons throughout the week. That is where I have been able to finish some of my books.
  2. I spent the majority of Monday cleaning and tidying my room. Cleaning always helps me feel better, and more relaxed.
  3. Yesterday my boyfriend and I watched a romantic movie together. We watched The Longest Ride, again. I was inspired by writing about it in my blog on Tuesday. It’s such a great movie. It’s one of my favourite Nicholas Sparks movie and book.
  4. I found my favourite chocolate bar in my snack box, I thought I had ate it a few weeks ago. I found it at the perfect time since that was our mini snack for the movie.
  5. Got my inspiration to finish what appears to be a neglected story right now. I felt uninspired to write it. It’s called Unimaginable Treasure. It’s about the importance and benefits of decluttering. So I apologize for those that have been patiently waiting for chapter three. In the meantime, you can catch up, or read it for the first time, here http://threeyellowdaisies.ca/category/unimaginable-treasure/ I appreciate any feedback, if you have any. 🙂

Hot Chocolate Latte

In this Tea Tuesday edition on a Wednesday. Yesterday was a beautiful day, so I ended up spending the day outside reading a good book.

I made myself a hot chocolate latte in my cozy sweater mug. Over the weekend, I officially took out my Christmas/winter mugs and teas. I keep them in my cupboard, but now they are on display, which is always exciting.

It is extra creamy especially as a latte. It also uses real cocoa beans, so it is really decadent. It makes for the perfect treat.

Here is my special cozy sweater mug, that is my favourite winter mug. I bought it last year, as a Christmas present for myself.

Day 48 of 192

This is Sunday’s item. My boyfriend and I bought two of these treats. We didn’t really need the toys, we just wanted the chocolate, because the chocolate is amazing!

My sister’s step son loves dinosaurs, so I’m happy that he will love his new toys.

Day 46 of 192

So yesterday, I took a day to myself to just relax and sort of unplug, mostly just from social media. I miss you all. Although I did make the exception for some TV since it’s hockey time. I am disappointed that my team didn’t force a game five, but now I’ll have more time since there isn’t much hockey for me to watch now.

My boyfriend and I buy these chocolate with surprises in them, and this was one of our surprises. We just buy it for the chocolate, because the chocolate is so yummy. But my sister’s step son loves dinosaurs, so we’re just going to pass it on to him. He’s going to love it.

Digital Declutter: I’ve deleted 10 photos so far. It isn’t much, but it is one of my small steps, to declutter my photo clutter. I need to go through my photos because I have duplicates from events that I haven’t actually gone through them yet. This is really starting to the ball moving.

National Ice Cream Day

Hi everyone!

Did you know that the third Sunday of July is National Ice Cream Day? Well it is!

My boyfriend and I stayed in and celebrated this “holiday”! We also celebrated meeting six years ago, today. So that was a lot of fun.

We had chocolate ice cream with peanut butter, and mini peanut butter cups. It is as delicious as it sounds!
