How To Organize A Closet

I was first inspired by this post when my boyfriend and I were deciding what he should wear for when he was going to my grandma’s for dinner.

So we were standing by his closet when his brother walked by my boyfriend’s room and he asked us what we were doing. I said that we were discussing ways to organize a closet.

I started telling my boyfriend how I organize my closet.

On the leftest left I have my baby clothes, then blouses, dress pants, leggings, skirts, top and skirt sets, dresses, tank tops, short sleeved shirts, plaid shirts, followed by sweaters and my blazers.

Then each subcategory is then sorted by colour starting with the light colours and then finishing with the darker colours.

I feel so organized because my boyfriend and I organized his room and my room just got done the day before.

Today I will spend time organizing at least one thing.

Decluttering Day Three

I’m still working away in my closet and I got rid of a pair of shoes that I have had over a year now and never worn them so I decided to depart with them. As well as two shirts that I won’t wear anymore.

Keep Moving

I managed to get a lot done in a day. I made myself breakfast, lunch and dinner, did a load of laundry, washed dishes, declutter my clothes in my closet. I was quiet proud of my accomplishments.

Today, I will try my best to accomplish all that I want to do and I will not give up until all is done.

One Thing – Memory Box

Throughout the years I have kept many memorabilia about important events in my life such report cards from school, a napkin from my grandparent’s 50th anniversary and yearbooks. I also keep cards that people give me like birthday cards, get well cards and Christmas cards.

It got really disorganized over the years so I decided to organize it.

I feel so much better. My Memory Box is in a yellow container in my closet.

One Thing – Closet Top Shelf

Today’s challenge was to declutter and rearrange the top shelf of my closet that way I place my dress-up shoes. I keep three of my top worn shoes in my foyer. That list includes my work shoes and a pair of flats.

I always store my sewing kit on the top shelf. Despite that one of nickname is Lil J (from Gossip Girl) I can’t sew.

One Thing – Clothes

I have a lot of clothes, which today I was supposed to go through. But I did half of a task which is better than nothing. I put away my clothes. Sometimes it takes me awhile to do because my closet is sorted in a particular way. I will be sure to tackle the other half of this project.
