Day 56

This lesson is from Thursday.

On Wednesday night, I went over to my mom’s for dinner. And she also invited her parents, too. We had a lovely time. I haven’t seen them in awhile with the whole lockdown and such. It was nice to share a meal with them. I helped my mom make the dinner, we had a roast beef, with corn and oven roasted potatoes. My mom and I hung out a bit before we had dinner. We went for a walk in her neighbourhood. That was fun.

It is important to spend time with family. As we’re growing up, and having fun, it’s easy to forget that they’re getting old. I know that some family members might live in different areas of the world, and can’t travel to go see them. Perhaps you can have a virtual dinner (if it works for the time zones you live in), or write them letters instead. Or send each other videos via email, or other social media platforms. The point is some times we don’t make time for our family, as often as we should.

Today, I will make more time to see or socialize with my family some way or another. Family is more valuable than we think it is. It is necessary to make time for family members. Family may be all that we have, so it is good for us to enjoy everything about them. When they pass on, we always wish to see them one more time.

Day Ten

I will understand the importance of making a to-do list for the day, or for tomorrow. I will make sure that I keep it to a list of a maximum of four things. That way it is an easier to accomplish your list. And when you schedule yourself to do too much, you often feel overwhelmed, and thus, setting yourself up for failure, or for procrastination. Normally, whenever you see a long, daunting list of errands, and chores, you don’t really feel motivated to get things done, but when you see only three items, you feel more motivated to actually want to accomplish those chores.

For instance, on my to-do list for tomorrow, I have this planned for my day…

  1. Go grocery shopping
  2. Clean the bathroom
  3. Cook dinner

These tasks shouldn’t take up too much of my time, probably no more than two hours. And the bonus part is that I’ll be able to get my walk in to the store. Getting my exercise in is important. I’m starting to exercise more which has been fun.

Today, I will learn to make to-do lists with no more than three items. This will ensure that I prioritize my most important tasks. By only having three things each day, I am able to focus on things that actually matter, and that they will get done.

Thankful Thursdays #17

I love writing this post because I express my gratitude for the things that I am thankful for. I hope I encourage others to write about the things you are grateful for throughout the week. If you are pressed for time, at least think about the things you are happy for. I feel like it’s really important to express your gratitude and share it with others.

Here is my list…

  1. Seeing my Grandparents for the first time since my birthday back in June (of this year). We had afternoon tea and we had dinner together. We had porkchops, with asparagus and oven roasted potatoes. It was delicious.
  2. Since I was seeing my Grandma, I was able to pass along the clothes I no longer wanted or needed. It cleared up some space in my room. That’s always a good thing.
  3. I’m grateful that all of my clothes are going to help someone. She also told me that she was going to give them to her friend’s granddaughter. That’s always nice. I’m really glad.
  4. I got a book to borrow a book from my Grandma, which is on my To Be Read List. My books are available at the library, so I’m really excited to pick them up, and start reading them.
  5. My boyfriend and I went to a store and bought more tea over the weekend.

Fortune Cookies

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

My boyfriend and I ordered Chinese food and my fortune cookies read;

“Now is a good time to finish up old tasks.”

“Rome was not built in a day. Be patient.”

I thought these were good fortune cookies since it is the last day of May and the beginning of June is on its way! I do have a lot of things I would like to finish up so it was really inspiring fortune cookies.

I’m going to make a to-do list and assign a day for each task to ensure that everything gets done.

Be FIERCE!!

Earlier today my wonderful boyfriend took us out for dinner – at my favourite restaurant, he enjoys that restaurant as well. Afterwards we went bowling.

It was a lot of fun! Of course I was fierce because it was a competition! I had such an amazing time! I requested print-outs of our games for our Memory Box. Also because I’m not going to let him forget who won!! 😀

I still would have had fun regardless of the outcome.

Today, I will embrace my inner fierceness.

Like A Butterfly

I had a very fun and sociable day. I had breakfast with my amazing boyfriend. We had cinnamon raisin bagels with green tea which was supposed to start us off on the right foot.

After I relaxed for a bit I washed the dishes from last night dinner’s, we were too tired to clean up afterwards. Anyway then his brother came downstairs and we had lunch together. Then I finished up with the dishes and I tidied my boyfriend’s room well our room.

Although this wasn’t very sociable but I ended up falling asleep whilst I was watching a movie. I did a lot of things yesterday that just wiped me out.

I hung out with his brother, their mama, his sister and her boyfriend until my mama came and picked me up.

My sister was with her and we went grocery shopping and made a chicken stir fry. It was good.

Today, I will take time to catch up with others and embrace the positive energy. It is good to keep someone company.

Shawarma Dinner

Today my boyfriend and I ordered a shawarma dinner. I always get chicken whereas he gets beef. I added more things to my dish!

I had my dinner with rice, chicken, green peppers, pickles, cucumbers, onions, garlic sauce with a bit of hot sauce. It was delicious!! 😀

Ribs

Today I was at my sister and boyfriend’s house. That was fun. We played cards and we had a sandwich and then for dinner we had ribs, mashed potatoes and corn. It was delicious! 🙂

Embrace The Love

I visited my Grandparents before I went to my boyfriend’s. They’re doing okay, not the greatest but still getting by.

My boyfriend invited me to his family’s dinner it was a joyous dinner. I am truly happy that he is apart of my life. His family is really great too. His nephew is the cutest. 🙂

I am really glad that my mama’s side gets to meet him.

Today I will embrace all the love. 🙂  ❤
