Minimalist Game Day 17

The rules are simple, you get rid of things from your life, either by selling them, throwing them away, or donating them. On the first day, you remove one item, and then on the second day, you remove two items, you keep on playing until it’s the end of the month, or whenever you run out of things to remove from your life. It is okay if you can’t make it until the end of the month. Personally, I would rather see items get donated, or sold to someone else. If you must throw something away, I hope it’s because it isn’t fixable. Even if you have removed three items from your life, you should still be proud of that, because it is three more things you removed before the challenge. But if you are able to complete this challenge, you would have gotten rid of almost 500 items! That’s a lot of stuff.

If you are participating, I would love to know what you are parting with, feel free to let me know in the comments. This is such a fun way to welcome Spring cleaning.

This is from Wednesday March 17th.

Expired lip care (lip balms and lip sticks).
A photo album, and a notebook. I plan on giving them to my cousin.
A Christmas present from my Dad. He bought me a box of cookies.

I had parted ways with a lot of clothes that I haven’t worn in a really long time. It is best for me to pass them on to someone who will enjoy these items than I ever did. I like to give them to my Grandma, because she knows a lot of people and neighbours that always need clothes. I feel fortunate enough to be able to help others.

Minimalist Game Day One

Despite posting late, I am in the process of catching up with everything. If you are interested in playing this game, or just wish to watch it all unfold, that’s okay, too. Do whatever feels comfortable. The rules are simple, you get rid of things, either by selling them, throwing them away, or donating them. Personally, I would rather see items get donated, or sold to someone else. If you must throw something away, I hope it’s because it isn’t fixable. On the first day, you remove one item, and then on the second day, you remove two items, you keep on playing until it’s the end of the month, or whenever you run out of things to remove from your life. It is okay if you can’t make it until the end of the month. Even if you have removed three items from your life, you should still be proud of that, because it is more than what you got rid of before the challenge. But if you are able to complete this challenge, you would have got rid of almost 500 items!

My item is a tea tin, that I used to store my Maple Chai in. But I don’t really go out of my way to buy any more this. I have used some of these to store my paint brushes. I have decided to give this to my mom, so she can store her pens, pencils and other writing utensils.

Day 191 of 192

This item is from Wednesday.

I bought this book at a school book fair. I used to love those so much. I bought a lot of cool books from those school book fairs.

I still love the Magic School Bus, but I think my niece will like this book. I can’t wait for her to start watching all of the classics from when her mom and myself were younger. My sister and I loved Princess Diaries, Matilda, and Recess as well as other classics like that.

I am trying to give my niece a lot of books, because I think it is important for her to have a big library. I can tell that she is really going to like reading a lot of books.

Day 189 of 192

This item is from Monday.

I used to love this shirt, but it is fairly old. I bought a lot of other shirts since having this one. And now I don’t have a lot of room to keep this shirt, and that’s okay.

I just hope someone after me enjoys this shirt as much as me.

Day 187 of 192

Hey, sorry I’ve been in a bit of a holidaze, as some might call it. But here I am. I hope everyone had a festive and safe holiday.

This item is from Saturday, as I am a bit behind with my posts.

I haven’t worn these socks in awhile. I thought they were cool, but now I see them as ineffective, design wise, because no one can see the cute reindeer. Instead they just look like a regular pair of brown socks. So, perhaps someone can enjoy these socks more than I do.

Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020 Day 25

I cannot believe how fast December went by. Today is the final day of the Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020. I want to thank everyone for reading these challenges, and for partaking in them, as well. If you weren’t able to do all of the challenges, no worries, you can always spread joy and love next year, too.

Today, let us reflect of how lucky we truly are. Some of us might not even realize just how lucky and fortunate we truly are. I hope on this magical day, you genuinely feel the love and magic that this day has to bring.

Don’t let the stress from the holidays ruin your day. Your kids aren’t going to remember if everything was perfect, what they more than likely will remember is how happy everyone was.

I hope this Bucket List is helpful to you.

Although I know that with Covid going on, perhaps it’s a good idea to only hug those you know.

Day 182 of 192

I cannot believe that there are only ten days left of 2020.

It has been really refreshing to clear out my life and finally go through my belongings. It has been such a relief. I am also glad that I was able to help others in the process.

Today, I am donating this notebook to my aunt. My sister and I used to be obsessed with gel pens. We bought this notebook because the purpose of it was to write and draw in it with gel pens. Unfortunately since all of our pens have died, or has gotten lost. This notebook no longer serves us anymore. My aunt still has all of her gel pens, so I’m sure she will find this useful.

Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020 Day 19

This is from Saturday.

If you can do this, I know that some might not be able to do this one, but for those that can, donate blood. Especially during this time, because where I live is it’s winter, which brings in dangerous driving conditions and causes car accidents.

I know that there are some requirements that need to be met in order to donate blood, but if you do qualify, please consider it. You just never know who you may help. Of course, I am not forcing anyone to do this, but I am just making everyone aware that they have the power to help others.

Advent Calendar of Kindness 2020 Day 4

I thought instead of going into debt trying to show your loved ones how much you love them. We should learn to give back to others instead. A good portion of these challenges, are free.

For today’s mission, I am going to ask you to donate a Christmas present. I know there used to be many Toy Drives so all children can still receive presents on Christmas. I don’t know what the restrictions of the coronavirus everyone is in, so you might have to make adjustments to this challenge. But you can donate a small present to your neighbours, or to a child’s teacher. Or if you are crafty, you make a present, instead of buying something.

Day 114 of 192

I just started going through my winter accessories. I know I have a lot of it that I no longer use anymore. I am more than happy to donate it to those who are in need.

My mama crocheted this for me, and it’s really pretty, but I have already decided to keep only two scarves for the winter. I’m going to ask mom, my cousin and my sister if they need any scarves for the winter, and if not, then I can donate this to someone in need.
