Minimalist Game Day 17

The rules are simple, you get rid of things from your life, either by selling them, throwing them away, or donating them. On the first day, you remove one item, and then on the second day, you remove two items, you keep on playing until it’s the end of the month, or whenever you run out of things to remove from your life. It is okay if you can’t make it until the end of the month. Personally, I would rather see items get donated, or sold to someone else. If you must throw something away, I hope it’s because it isn’t fixable. Even if you have removed three items from your life, you should still be proud of that, because it is three more things you removed before the challenge. But if you are able to complete this challenge, you would have gotten rid of almost 500 items! That’s a lot of stuff.

If you are participating, I would love to know what you are parting with, feel free to let me know in the comments. This is such a fun way to welcome Spring cleaning.

This is from Wednesday March 17th.

Expired lip care (lip balms and lip sticks).
A photo album, and a notebook. I plan on giving them to my cousin.
A Christmas present from my Dad. He bought me a box of cookies.

I had parted ways with a lot of clothes that I haven’t worn in a really long time. It is best for me to pass them on to someone who will enjoy these items than I ever did. I like to give them to my Grandma, because she knows a lot of people and neighbours that always need clothes. I feel fortunate enough to be able to help others.

Day 79 of 192

Hi everyone!

Today’s item is this beautiful black dress. This was one of my first online purchases I have made. Unfortunately, I bought it in the wrong size. I didn’t realize it until I was going to wear it a few months after the purchase, where it was too late to return it.

I’ve tried to make it fit, but it has been three years now. I don’t think it will now. So it’s best to give to someone else who will enjoy it.

Talking to a Stranger

Talking to strangers may not be the wisest choice but if you approach them with a conversation they can provide you with a lot of wisdom. Although you should be cautious when speaking to people you do not know.

My mama took me shopping today and I picked up two dresses from the racks and then walked to the changing room area. I showcased them to mama and as I did a woman nearby really admired my dress. She told me that the dress I tried on was beautiful.

She wanted to try this dress on but in a different size. I tried to remember where I found it since I went around all of those racks. Unfortunately we weren’t able to find it but I did help her select a dress.

As I was leaving to the checkout I saw her try on her dress and I told that it was a nice dress and that she should get it.

Today, I will talk to someone to gain knowledge and to help others out. But I will also remember to use caution when talking to them.
