Thankful Thursdays #22

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, what a perfect way to spend time truly thinking about you’re grateful for.

Every week I round up and think about what I am thankful for. I encourage everyone to do this activity.

Here is my list.

  1. I’m thankful for catching up with a friend I haven’t spoken to in a little while. I’m glad he is doing well.
  2. My boyfriend brought me my container from my sister’s house. I am currently going through at the moment. I’ve been trying to go through my things. It is a freeing and exciting project. Not only is it allowing me to find a home for these items, but it is also a great feeling knowing that I am helping others by donating things I no longer use or need anymore.
  3. My boyfriend and I did some decorating around our room. We hung up my lights. It is over my vision board. I think it is really pretty. I shared a photo below. It says, “Easy Does It”, it reminds when I have a lot going on, I remind myself to take things slowly, even if it is just one thing at a time.
  4. I was able to go out for more walks this week, although that may be why my back is a bit sore, but slowly getting better.
  5. I got to watch two football games yesterday, which was fun, although those games were a blow out, but still entertaining. When I watched the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign Performance during the halftime show between the Dallas and Washington football, I came across a new singer, Kane Brown. The Salvation Army accepts donations to help out those less fortunate. I really enjoyed his music performance.

Your Time Is Precious

I got to work early because ma drove me and she had to go work herself so she dropped me off on the way and I had a bit of time to chill before I clocked in.

It was relaxing because sometimes I’m running late. It was nice to relax. I was on my phone for a bit and I read my book. It helped me became more aware of my time. My time is precious.

I didn’t realize how slow a half hour can go by, it made me realize that if I set more time to relax life will be less stressful.

I shall allow myself to be with my thoughts and to take it easy.

One Day At A Time

Whenever I am at work, my co-workers and my boss always tell me; “Slow down.” or “Chill girl.” I always get told that I walk too fast and that I need to slow down. I try my best, I sometimes even try to change the way I walk so I can slow down.

I only walk that fast because there’s so much to do in such little time.

I’ve been learning a new way of life and some of the slogans are to take it one day at a time, one step, easy does it, keep it simple. Progress not perfection and don’t perfection be the enemy of the good. I even keep this stone and on one side it has this body in a locus pose and on the back it says; “BREATHE”.

Side note, my boss made fun of me today because he asked me what that stone meant to me and I relied with; “Well… It reminds me to breathe.” Him: “Don’t we already know how?”

Anyway, today I threw all of those slogans out the window! Which is mistake number one.

I made a lot more mistakes than I probably would have had I kept it simple.

My co-worker wasn’t impressed. Today reminded me the importance to take thing at a time and to not overwhelm myself with everything. Take it slow. And remember, “Just breathe.”
