Minimalist Game Day 12

The rules are simple, you get rid of things from your life, either by selling them, throwing them away, or donating them. On the first day, you remove one item, and then on the second day, you remove two items, you keep on playing until it’s the end of the month, or whenever you run out of things to remove from your life. It is okay if you can’t make it until the end of the month. Personally, I would rather see items get donated, or sold to someone else. If you must throw something away, I hope it’s because it isn’t fixable. Even if you have removed three items from your life, you should still be proud of that, because it is three more things you removed before the challenge. But if you are able to complete this challenge, you would have gotten rid of almost 500 items! That’s a lot of stuff.

If you are participating, I would love to know what you are parting with, feel free to let me know in the comments. This is such a fun way to welcome Spring cleaning.

This is from Friday March 12th.

I was still sorting through my jewelry box, like I said, I have too many pieces of jewelry. I am really glad that I departed with.

I am starting to feel lighter without having all of these things weighing me down. Especially items that didn’t make me happy anymore.

This is from Thursday March 11th.

At that time, I was going through my jewelry box, sorting through things I no longer wanted. I have gotten a large amount of jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, and bracelets for birthdays, and Christmas, and various other occasions. I don’t really wear much jewelry anymore. Mostly because I work at restaurants, and cafes, and we weren’t allowed to wear that. And now, I don’t really go out, so I don’t wear any.

I plan on letting my cousin go through my jewelry and seeing if she wants anything. And then I let my mom, and Grandma go through it afterwards. And then after that, whatever remains, my Grandma can clean and disinfect it, and see if she knows anyone that would want the rest.

How is everyone’s decluttering process going?

This is from Wednesday March 10th.

So far I am still working through my jewelry box. As you can jewelry was something that a lot of people have bought for me as gifts over the years. I am actually really happy that I have told people not to buy any more. I just have too much of it. It definitely came overwhelming for me to dig through all of these earrings, and bracelets.

Minimalist Game Day Nine

The rules are simple, you get rid of things from your life, either by selling them, throwing them away, or donating them. This is from Tuesday March 9th. I just have been so busy, and I’m trying my best to get all caught up for April the 10th, so I can start fresh again very soon.

I feel quite proud of myself with everything I have given away already. Last year, I had given away 192 items. I am really starting to feel a lot lighter now.

I have counted earrings as two items, because some of my earrings I have, only have one, instead of the set. So I thought I may as well count a pair of earrings as two items. You can make up your own rules with these challenges. Add your creativeness to the project.

From this post, I have parted with seven earrings, a ring, and necklace. I have a lot of jewelry over the years. I have told a lot of people that I no longer want any more jewelry as any gifts. Although my boyfriend is still allowed to buy some special pieces.

Day 146 of 192

I have kept a bunch of different pieces of jewelry. I have decided on only keeping what I like to wear. I’ll be going through my jewelry box. I have pushed that off for such a long time.

This was one of the bracelets I am happy to part with. I haven’t worn it in such a long time, so it doesn’t make much sense for me to keep it. It’s a pretty bracelet none the less, but it is taking up too much space. Someone else can find joy from it.

Day 115 of 192

I found a bunch of different pieces of jewelry, but now that I am older I have a different sense of style. I have already made up my mind of what I like to wear. These pieces of jewelry are almost 20 years old. It seems to me, this is the perfect time to let these things go.

I am thankful of the memories I have had while I wore these, but it’s just time to move on.

Day 111 of 192

This is Sunday’s item.

My mom gave me this because she didn’t want anymore. She used it to hold some of her jewelry in. But since I have a jewelry box now, this is no longer necessary to me anymore.

It served its purpose for many years, but now I no longer need it.

Day 103 of 192

I found a bunch of old, and probably dirty jewelry which are all tangled up anyway.

I have other valuable jewelry than this. And I haven’t worn these in nearly 20 years, so I am better off without these things.

Despite that my Grandparents have bought me a good potion of these pieces of jewelry. I have learned that our memories aren’t in the things we keep, they are in our heart.

Day 102 of 192

Hey everyone! I am feeling a bit fatigue at the moment, so I am just hoping on for this one post. And I am going to spend some time putting away my summer clothes and pull out my Autumn and winter clothes. As well as declutter a few things, maybe that would help me feel better.

I will definitely be posting more tomorrow.

Today’s item that I am donating is this jewelry holder. My sister gave me a jewelry box a few birthdays ago, and it has an engravement of “Love You Forever xoxo”, so I no longer need this. It was really cute, but I feel like I outgrew this. Instead, I was thinking of giving this to my niece when she is a bit older. I hope she likes it, too.

Day 99 of 192

This has been a wonderful journey. I highly recommend people declutter their possessions. I am so proud of my accomplishments! Even you just get rid of 10 items, I believe you will start to see the difference in your life.

Today’s item is this jewelry holder, or at least that is what my sister and I used it as. It had contained all of that tangled jewelry from yesterday.

I no longer have a purpose of this anymore since I already have a jewelry box. I am going to see if my sister wants this back, since it was hers at one point. And if she doesn’t like it, maybe we can set it aside for my niece for when she is older. It’s really beautiful, but I no longer have a purpose for it.
