Road Less Travelled – Lauren Alaina

I love this song so much! I figured it is the perfect song for 2021. It’s all about trusting yourself, and the universe by doing something you wouldn’t normally do. I sort of did this year. I quit my job because I didn’t feel comfortable with the whole coronavirus pandemic, so I decided to focus on my blog, and pursue thinking of a cool idea for my novels. In hope that one day I become a bestselling author, blogger. For the most part I feel proud of myself. And I feel very fortunate enough that my boyfriend is still working for us.

I hope that this is the year we trust ourselves and the universe even more. I know that it is scary, but I think things will get better. We just have to keep the faith that they will improve.

“If you trust your rebel heart, ride it into battle
Don’t be afraid, take the road less traveled
Wear out your boots and kick up the gravel
Don’t be afraid, take the road less traveled on”

A Photographer’s Perspective

It’s another edition of our weekly quote, to get us started this week. Hopefully it is off to a great start.

This quote can sum up 2020. Yes, the year gave us a lot of heart ache, anxiety, and overall it was a difficult year for the majority of us. But it just meant that we need to change our attitude and perspective on certain things. Let’s focus on how 2020 helped us want to better ourselves, what it taught us, and what changes it made us want for ourselves.

This is a reminder that no matter how difficult something is, it doesn’t mean that things won’t get better, they will. All it takes is a change of how we see things. Don’t let bad times bring you down, just know that these bad times are just part of the journey.

Day 10 of 192

I love doing this challenge. I find it really freeing and it’s allowing me to ease in to the whole decluttering mission at a steady pace. I have tried to declutter so many times before, but I felt like I was getting stuck and couldn’t overcome the emotional attachment of things, like clothes. I still have a ton of clothes from years ago, so some of these clothes are too hard to let go.

So that’s where I came up with this whole idea of one item a day, which has been helping me. Like a lot. Because I can discard things slowly and really appreciate the transformation.

Like this shirt was a bit of a challenge to get rid of because I remember wearing it the first time I hung out with one of my friends. What made it difficult was that we don’t really hang out or talk much, we live in different cities now.

Even though this shirt feels a bit snug on me, it was still challenging to get rid of by donating it to someone else. And that’s okay, because than it means that someone else can find just as much joy as I did. And that is what makes this journey so joyous, because you’re getting rid of things so someone can enjoy these things, too. When you own less things that’s whenyou can truly appreciate what you have.
