Hey bookworms!

Let’s talk about books! This is a post where I discuss all the books that I have been reading, by answering the following questions…

  1. What have I finished reading?
  2. What am I currently reading?
  3. What will I read next?

Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to myself this week, so I wasn’t able to finish a lot of books as I was hoping for. I managed to finish one book, which was a really good book.

  1. What have I finished reading?

This book was suspenseful. It is my first book that I have read by Chris Bohjalian. I can’t wait to read his other stories. This novel tells the tale about how a flight attendant, Cassie finds her in some trouble. She just traveled to Dubai as one of her travels for work. She wakes up in the wrong hotel room, where she finds out she is laying next to some guy. She then looks at him, and realizes that he is dead. She is far way from home, and doesn’t know what she do.

I can’t wait to start watching the TV show soon.

My rating: 3.75 stars out of 5

2. What am I currently reading?

I first picked up this book up when I wanted to watch this series. I have this thing, that I like reading the books before I watch the shows, or movies.

3. What will I read next?

I love reading Ruth Ware, she writes suspenseful, and thriller novels. I haven’t read one of her books in awhile. I have been waiting for this book a little while now from the library.

Thankful Thursdays #31 – January 28th, 2021

This is one of my favourite posts to write! I love to write and think about what I am thankful for. I hope I inspire you to think and reflect what you are grateful for throughout the week.

Here is a list of things that make me grateful.

  1. I am grateful that I get to babysit my niece, when her parents work. I enjoy the time we get to spend together. We read books, and we have tea parties together. Well, not real tea parties, yet, since she is almost two. We just pretend. But it’s still a lot of fun.
  2. I am grateful that my Grandparents helped my mom and myself pack up my mom’s stuff for her move. My mama has a lot of things, so I appreciated any help.
  3. I was able to pick up my holds at the library the other day. Picking up books at the library is always fun. I can’t wait to read them all. I am always excited to read books that I have never read before.
  4. I am thankful for talking to my friends, and family members especially when I have days where I feel upset, or sad about something.
  5. When I saw my Grandma the other day, she gave me her blanket that she meant to give us awhile ago when she gave us the set it goes with. It’s really warm, and cozy. It’s the perfect reading blanket.

Let me know what you are thankful for in the comments!

Day 191 of 192

This item is from Wednesday.

I bought this book at a school book fair. I used to love those so much. I bought a lot of cool books from those school book fairs.

I still love the Magic School Bus, but I think my niece will like this book. I can’t wait for her to start watching all of the classics from when her mom and myself were younger. My sister and I loved Princess Diaries, Matilda, and Recess as well as other classics like that.

I am trying to give my niece a lot of books, because I think it is important for her to have a big library. I can tell that she is really going to like reading a lot of books.

Day 190 of 192

This item is from Tuesday.

I found this book The Hunchback of Notre Dame while I was cleaning and going through my belongings. I haven’t read this in a really long time, so I quickly glanced it over. I decided to give this to my sister, so we can help my niece have a big library of books. She seems like she will really like stories. I hope so, I think reading books is amazing! I can’t wait to have sleepovers with her, and reading cool books with her.

Thankful Thursday #18

I am so proud that I have been reflecting on what I am grateful for, for the past four and half months now. I am so happy.

I encourage everyone to think about what you are thankful for.

Here is a list of things that I am grateful for.

  1. I got to go to the library and pick up my library books.
  2. My boyfriend and I have discussed ways that we can save up more money.
  3. I have spending more time reading my books.
  4. My boyfriend and I splurged and got some tea, which is delicious as always.
  5. I got to help my sister, by watching my niece because my sister got called in for work. It was a fun watching her. She was good as always.
She normally would put her feet on her foot rest, but she decided to rest her foot on my leg. Awe! 🙂 ❤

What are you thankful for this week?

Thankful Thursdays #17

I love writing this post because I express my gratitude for the things that I am thankful for. I hope I encourage others to write about the things you are grateful for throughout the week. If you are pressed for time, at least think about the things you are happy for. I feel like it’s really important to express your gratitude and share it with others.

Here is my list…

  1. Seeing my Grandparents for the first time since my birthday back in June (of this year). We had afternoon tea and we had dinner together. We had porkchops, with asparagus and oven roasted potatoes. It was delicious.
  2. Since I was seeing my Grandma, I was able to pass along the clothes I no longer wanted or needed. It cleared up some space in my room. That’s always a good thing.
  3. I’m grateful that all of my clothes are going to help someone. She also told me that she was going to give them to her friend’s granddaughter. That’s always nice. I’m really glad.
  4. I got a book to borrow a book from my Grandma, which is on my To Be Read List. My books are available at the library, so I’m really excited to pick them up, and start reading them.
  5. My boyfriend and I went to a store and bought more tea over the weekend.

Thankful Thursdays #16

Hey everyone! I cannot believe that I have been writing Thankful Thursdays for the past four months, now. It is crazy for how fast time is flying by.

Every week I spend time reflecting on what I am thankful for. Feel free to partake in the comments, if you like.

  1. Since it was our Thanksgiving weekend, my boyfriend was off on Monday, so we had an extra day to relax together. That is always fun!
  2. My boyfriend also bought me a new mop, it works a lot better than our other mop.
  3. Yesterday my boyfriend and I tried a new ice cream flavour we haven’t tried before. We tied a peach flavoured ice cream. It was so good.
  4. Having a midnight snack with my boyfriend this morning. That was a lot of fun.
  5. Using my local library to put books from To Be Read List on hold. I’m super excited to start going through all of those books.
