Day 46

It feels amazing to be all caught up with everything, especially with my blog posts. I am finally on Monday’s posts. Thank you for your love and support. I really appreciate all of the support.

Something that I have learned throughout my life is that you can’t change people. Especially if they are one of those people who see no problem with their behaviours. I have been friends with an alcoholic, and I tried my best to help him, I didn’t really know to help this person. But I have gone to support groups about it. And something I have learned is that we can’t change people. It’s okay, that we can’t change people, but it is important to be supportive for when they are ready to make changes in their lives.

Today, I will learn and accept that I can’t change the people around me, but I can change the people around me. But what I can be is supportive to this person. When they are ready to make changes in their lives, we can be there to support them.

Empower

I am a bit behind, but I hope everyone had a great week, so far. Here is a weekly quote to close out the week.

We have the power to use our words to heal or hurt people, the choice is ours. Why don’t we do something inspiring to help others? We might not even know the magnitude of our words or actions have on other people. So in the world that can seem like an awful place, we should learn to love and appreciate others.

And more importantly we should also learn to empower ourselves. We need to learn that it is okay to let go of things, and sometimes people that no longer serve us, or add any joy in our lives. It’s okay to leave things behind. Not everything was meant to stay with us forever. The sooner we learn this, the more peaceful our lives will be.
