I enjoy dragonflies and butterflies. I love what they symbolize because to me butterflies show you that even in the darkest nights you transfer into something beautiful. I also think if you are missing someone and you see a butterfly it’s the universe’s way of saying that person you are missing is okay.

I like how dragonflies remind us how strong we truly are.

Never Give Up

Today I learnt the importance of never giving up on your dreams.

If you must keep at it and never give up.

Today, I will not let my dreams die. I will remind myself; “Don’t wish for it. Work for it!” Never give up.

Planning For The Future

Today I am planning for the future. I am finally deciding as to what is worth pursuing. I could not be more happy.

This is where the beginning begins for me. For the past I have been indecisive about what I want to do but now I am 100% certain.

I know that it’s best to stay present but at the time it is still necessary to prepare for my future.

I am ready for my future to start.

Today, part of staying mindful is staying in the now but it is okay to look in the future.


*Note this is not my tattoo, but I have actually considered something like this later. I think it is too intimidating.

During my shift that I was never scheduled to work a regular customer came in and he had an anchor on his shirt. I have a huge admiration for anchors.

I find that they represent a lot of things. This person’s tattoo symbolizes Hope. Faith and Love. That is important to me. But in general anchors are thrown into the water that is to hold the boat. That means no matter how rough or how stormy it is, you are strong enough to handle anything that comes your way. It offers stability.

It could also be a symbol to represent a loved one where you have been through a lot together. But no matter what tomorrow brings you will still stand by their side because you deeply care about them to not leave.

Do One Thing.

Every day you should do ONE THING that will better you. It can be a small gesture to a grand gesture. It can be a small step such as donating something that you no longer use to someone who will use it.

You can go for a run, clean up your room, read a book, do a puzzle, meditate, try a new yoga pose. You may even wish to journal about it. Anything that will improve your well being will be enough.

Remember you are enough. Never doubt that.

Keep your head up and embrace the positive in your life. Taking the first step may not be easy but it will be the best step you can make.

Maybe something you try is to cease a bad habit (smoking, consuming caffeine, gossiping, nail biting, etc.,) remember you don’t have to completely quit but see if you can go a day without it. You may even surprise yourself. You don’t need to wait around to gain motivation, just keep moving and you will find it with every step you take.

Today, I will challenge myself to do something that will better me. I would gain confidence in myself with each activity.

This is a reminder that no matter how broken you feel you are, that you will mend into something beautiful. Just never give up.
