I am slowly starting to catch up with all of these blog posts.

This is the post where we talk about books, and what we are reading by answering the following questions…

  1. What have I finished reading?
  2. What am I currently reading?
  3. What will I read next?
  1. What have I finished reading?

Unfortunately with my Grandpa being in the hospital, I entered a reading slump. I had a hard focusing on reading any books, so I didn’t finish reading anything.

I am currently working through this book. So far it is really amazing. Although the beginning is a bit heartbreaking, so much so, that I kept on having to put it down.

3. What will I read next?

Let’s talk about books! This is a post where I discuss all the books that I have been reading, by answering the following questions…

  1. What have I finished reading?
  2. What am I currently reading?
  3. What will I read next?

Because my goal is to read 100 books by the end of the year. I fell a bit behind with my reading, so I ended up reading a few shorter books, so I can stay on par with my schedule. That is why I have read these two books the other day.

This book is written by Admiral William H. McRaven (U.S. Navy Retired) about how you can do small things that can change the world. He wrote a speech for a graduating class about how we area capable of changing the world. It is a really inspiring book.

My rating: 4 stars out of 5

This book talks about how we have the power to either make today work, or don’t work. How we spend our time will determine whether or not we will be successful, or not. The power lies in how we can spend our days. Do we spend time working on our goals, or do we scroll through Facebook, asking ourselves, why we don’t have time to do the things we want to do. It is another inspiring book, too.

My rating: 4 stars out of 5

2. What am I currently reading?

I am going to finish this book by Wednesday, so I can write about it. So far, it is amazing! I feel bad that I had to put it down to help my family with things.

3. What will I read next?

  1. What have I finished reading?

This book was amazing! I really enjoyed reading it. I liked that it was easy to be able to relate to Jay Gatsby. I haven’t read this book before, but I have seen the movie, the one that Leonardo DiCaprio stars in, back in 2013. I loved the movie, and I can’t wait to watch it again this weekend. It was a short read, which is good, because I didn’t have a lot of time for reading this week.

2. What am I currently reading?

I haven’t officially started this one yet, but I will start reading it tomorrow night.

3. What will I be reading next?

I saw a lot of commercials for this show, and when I was researching where to watch it, I realized it was based off of a book. It made me really excited that my library had it, and I was able to get it fairly quickly. I cannot wait to start reading this.

  1. What have I finished reading?

Because the week prior I didn’t have much time to read (unfortunately), I hate when that happens. But this week I was able to finish two books.

This was an amazing book, I was happy to pick this book up again. It had me on the edge of my seat. I definitely do not want to give away too much. If you think thrillers, you are definitely going to like this one.

And

This was such a lovely book, especially since I read it during the Christmas season. I think it made it that much more magical. I loved this book. I can’t wait to buy it for sister, so she can read it soon.

2. What am I currently reading?

I have seen the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio back in 2013 with my mom, and I loved it so much. I cannot wait to finally read the book. I realized that I bought the book, twice, so I ended up giving one to my sister for Christmas. It is a fairly short book, so she shouldn’t have a problem with it. I can’t wait to talk about it with her. I can’t wait to watch the movie again.
