My Answers

  1. Can you spend a whole day without your mobile phone?
I would like to be able to cut back on my screen, but I don’t think I can go the entire day without my mobile phone. I say that because I like to practice French on my phone, and do a Sudoku puzzle every day.
  2. What are the things you miss after the pandemic ends?
I think I would miss people being genuinely concerned about germs. It seemed to be me like there were a lot of people who didn’t care about germs. I will miss the free time.
  3. Name a country you want to visit.
I have a lot of different places I would love to visit to. But one of them that I am really interested is Bali. I have always wanted to go there since I read Eat Pray Love, and my cousin and I were talking about it. Even though Elizabeth went to Indonesia, my cousin did recommend that I go to Bali, since it is a bit safer.
  4. When can we expect a positive change in humanity?
Hm… this one is a challenging question. I honestly don’t know about this one, but I hope it’s soon rather than later. I would love to see the world become a better place, but it is a fairly damaged environment right now, with all of the hate, and homelessness. But I think that we are starting to take a movement on these topics, so I hope that is enough to embrace these changes.
  5. Have you ever regretted writing a blog on a controversial topic?
I tend to not write about any controversial topics, instead I focus on my experiences and what I have gone through throughout my life. I tend to always make my posts about my life and what advice I can provide to others. I would rather spread love and positive vibes than hate and negative vibes. There’s already enough hate in the world.
  6. What was your favourite subject in school?
I really liked math and science. I liked these subjects because there wasn’t any grey areas to these subjects, you are either right or wrong. I just always had a fascination for numbers and theories.
  7. What is your advice for absolute newbies on WordPress?
I feel like you should spend your time exploring the tools that is available to you. Learn to get familiar with all of these various tools. I like to add tags to my posts, and organize my posts in categories as well. Like most things in life, it will get easier with time and practice.

My Answers

  1. What inspired you to start a blog?
I used to work at a burger place about 5.5 years ago. All of my coworkers suggested to me that I should start a blog because the world needs more positive vibes. At the time I was reading a lot of self help books. It took me a few months to really decide to pursue my blog. But that’s how it started. I first started blogging in May of 2015.
  2. Do you think blogging is fun?
Yes, of course! I love blogging. I enjoy it because I feel like I’m inspiring other people to do and be a better person. I like writing about different subjects so I can help people in various subjects.
  3. Did you ever feel like discontinuing your blog post?
I always publish all of my thoughts. But discontinuing my blog, yes, sort of. After writing a blog for one year, I kind of stopped longer than I intended to because I also had forgotten my log in password. I picked up this blog in May of this year. I’m glad I came back to writing this blog.
  4. What is your best quality?
I would say my patience. I always get complimented that I have a lot of patience with others. It made me a really good trainer a my job. I was in their spot not too long ago, so I was someone who could empathize and understand where they are coming from. That trait goes beyond training new trainees, but for my life as well. I find that my patience helps me be more caring.
  5. A thing you would like to change about yourself or others?
I sometimes wish people were as caring as me. Because it seems like the world is filled with a lot of hate and negative things. I know not everyone is evil, but there are some people who just don’t care about others.
  6. What’s the best thing that has ever happened to you?
I feel like there are so many great things that happened to me. But perhaps it was when my sister told me I was going to be an official Auntie. It’s a lot of fun, because I can see myself and my sister in her. I love our cuddles. We have a lot of fun. I get to read all of our favourite books, and explore new books, too. I let her borrow my Princess and fairy tale stories.
  7. What’s the best part about writing a blog?
The best part about blogging is being able to inspire others to make changes in their life.
  8. What do you think is important for a blog?
The most important thing about a blog is just being real, and staying true to yourself. You shouldn’t have to be someone you aren’t. Another important thing is to have fun.
  9. A fun fact about yourself.
I like to keep a list of all he teas I have tried. I also keep a list of TV shows, and movies my boyfriend and I have watched together.
  10. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Despite being a positive person, I do have a few pet peeves. I dislike when people are always late. Like it’s okay if you’re late once in awhile, it’s okay, but if it’s a regular thing, no, I start to get annoyed. And another thing I hate when I ask people what their plans are for the upcoming Saturday on a Monday, and then people finally reply to me on a Friday night. Just people making last minute plans bothers me.
  11. Lastly, your favourite place on earth (a part from home obviously).
My Grandparent’s house! I miss going there for sleepovers, or just hanging out over dinner. They live in a retirement home, for the past four years. I like going over to their room at their retirement home. But I love their house, because of all of the memories we have shared with them. They were at their home all of my childhood and teenager years, so there are a lot of memories in that place.

My Questions

  1. What’s your preferred method of transportation? (Air, boat, bike, car, train, your own feet, taxi).

My Answers

  1. What is your limit to strive for your goals?
I don’t have any limits on my goals, I always have to accomplish them whenever I set them. I make my goals because I know the award of the goal is good, whether it brings me happiness, or money, or helps others. I enjoy helping people.
  2. Have you ever belittled someone for your sake of pleasure?
Child me, yes, because I didn’t realize it was rude and I didn’t know better. But as an adult, no, I don’t believe in that.
  3. What do you think is the most wrong thing that is still prevailing in this world?
Unfortunately there are many things that is continuing to happen, despite how negative they are. Unfortunately, I can’t pick just one, but the first three that came to mind are war, racism, and homelessness.

Knowing that I have another day to live and that I get to help others and accomplish my goals.
  5. Do you feel like prioritizing between your family time and your goals? And if so, which will you prioritize first and why?
I hate to admit this, but I sometimes would I prioritize my goals over my family time. Unless it’s my sister, she is one of my family members I can’t say no to. I live with my boyfriend, so we don’t see our families unless it’s a holiday or a birthday. We don’t really get together just because. But we will eventually, it’s just that life is busy right now.
  6. Anything that demotivates you?
Things that demotivate me is that there are no rewards from that action. Like I do something, like at my old job, there was very little rewarding tasks. And for some reason, no one really liked me there. So some days it was difficult for me to go there and be happy.
  7. What distracts you from focusing over anything? If any, how can you overcome that?
There are a few things that may prevent me from focusing on my goals, like watching an episode of my favourite show, reading a really good book that I can’t put down. I feel like there are may be more, but those were the first that came to mind. I can overcome this by scheduling time to accomplish my goals and having leisure time to read and watch my shows.
  8. Life is filled of chances, would you mind giving someone a second chance?
Yes, most of the time I do give people second chances. Unless they had hurt me really badly the first time.
  9. If you could change anything today, what would that be?
I wish that my boyfriend and I had our own place.
  10. Why is writing so important to you?
Writing is important to me because I enjoy helping people and inspiring them to be better.
  11. What is your purpose of your writing?
My purpose is to help other people realize that they matter, things can get better, because everything is only temporary. I remind people that things will get better. I love helping people realize that they can improve their lives.

My Answers

  1. Describe life in three words.
    Live Laugh Love
  2. What would your best day look like? Explain.
My best day would be jumping out of bed to practice yoga and meditation, eat a healthy breakfast, shower. Followed by blogging over a cup of tea. I love all of my blog posts, and I have written a variety of blog posts. I have talked about a Gratitude Challenge, Daily Uncluttering Project, personal things that have happened in my life, like surviving a car accident, talking about different books. Perhaps my most recent favourite post is,
    https://threeyellowdaisies.ca/2020/08/17/weekly-quote-happiness-2/

  6. What weird food combinations do you really enjoy?
I actually really enjoy pickles and gravy. It all started when I was at my Grandparents’ house and I had slept over shortly after Thanksgiving. I had some gravy still on my plate. I was in the middle of telling a story, with a pickle on my fork, and I was waving my fork around while I was talking (I did that before I realized how rude that was), and my pickle had landed in the gravy. I was like, well I love pickles and gravy, and I didn’t want to waste food at my grandparent’s house. I ended up eating and loving it.

Liebster Award #2

I feel so special to be nominated for this award. Thank you so much Yvonne for the nomination. Her blog is really insightful and inspirational, you should all check it out, joyfulchangewithyvonne.com!

The award is a pay-it-forward acknowledgement, from one blogger to another, that they appreciate your blog and promote others to check it out!

Here are the rules! Everyone that I wanted to nominate for this award, has just recently won this award. And I already nominated a bunch of people for my previous award, so I don’t want to overwhelm everyone with more questions.

Rules

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you, and provide a link to their blog
  • Answer the 11 questions given to you
  • Nominate 11 other bloggers
  • Ask your nominees 11 questions
  • Notify your nominees once you have uploaded your post

My Questions

  1. Who do you feel most comfortable with, and why?
I feel most comfortable with my sister and my boyfriend, My sister because I grew up with her. When we were younger, I would spend my weekends in her room having a sleepover. We played Barbies, she would read us stories, we would watch movies together. We were always close when we were younger, and we are still close now, but sometimes it can be challenging since life is busy.
I’m comfortable with my boyfriend because we have been together for five years, and we live together. We are comfortable telling each other our hopes and dreams with another. We can be vulnerable with each other.
  2. Who is the kindest person you know? Describe their kindness.
This one is challenging, because I know so many kind people. I would have to say my second cousin is the nicest person I know, because we are able to talk about all sorts of subjects. We give each other advice, and she has great things to say to me. And she even offered my boyfriend and I to spend a few nights at her, when our household was becoming too stressful for me. She thinks of the right things to say to me regarding feedback and encouragement to face my fears. I just enjoy talking to her so much.
  3. What is your favorite blog that you’ve posted? Why?
This one is challenging because I have written so many blog posts… I would probably say, Second Chance, the one where I got hit by a car, because I was inspiring other people to chase their dreams, and to never give up. If you would like to read it, here is the article. I was very lucky that day, because I walked away with only bruises.

    https://threeyellowdaisies.ca/2020/05/29/second-chance/

I am also enjoying writing my short story, called Taxi Driver, because I enjoy writing, and sharing others my creativity.

    https://threeyellowdaisies.ca/category/taxi-driver/

I feel like there are probably other ones that I have enjoyed writing, but those were the first ones to come to mind.
  4. If there was a way you could infuse an act of kindness habit into the everyday life of all people in the world, this habit as natural as the daily action of brushing their teeth, what would that kindness habit be?
I would say spreading joy and positive vibes to others. It could be as simple as, “I like your scarf!” Or “You have a lovely smile, or eyes.” When we compliment people, it not only lifts other people’s spirits, but ourselves as well. Or even just let people know that they are doing a good job with raising their children, or any kind of service; let them know that you’re proud of them.

My Questions
1. What is your favourite three course meal?
2. What is something that makes you angry?
3. Would you rather have a magical machine that cleans your dishes, or washes your clothes?
4.What was the longest span of time you have gone without any sleep?
5. How would your closest person describe you?
6. What is something you regret?
7. What is something that you can’t go a day without doing?
8. What is the biggest struggle you have overcome?
9. If you had the ability to erase something that you did in the past, what would it be?
10. What do you think are your greatest strengths?

Three Yellow Daisies Gets Nominated for Sunshine Blogger Award

The sunshine award is driven entirely by the community, passed from blogger to blogger in recognition of their shining, inspiring, creative and motivational blogs.

I am so honoured to be nominated for this award! Thank you so much for In My Feelings, https://xinmyfeelingsx.wordpress.com/ for the nomination. Be sure to check that blog, because it filled with wonderful posts about feelings, thoughts and inspiration. I really enjoy reading your posts.

Rules:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you in the blog post and link back to their blog.
2. Answer the 11 questions the blogger asked you.
3. Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.

My Answers:

1. Give us a little insight into your blog?
My blog is about becoming the best version of yourself, by making better habits, believing in yourself and learning to be comfortable with having less stuff, debt, and other anchors that hold you back. I provide encouraging and positive posts to everyone. My other interests that I love talking about are tea and books.

2. Why did you start blogging and for how long now?
Well, I first started my blog back in May of 2015, blogged for a bit a year straight. I got busy with life, and finally came on May 28th, of this year, and have been blogging consistently since. I began my blog because my coworkers recommended that I start blogging since I was always optimistic, and provided wonderful advice.

3. What has been the most challenging aspect of blogging for you?
Sometimes I feel like it can be a challenge to come up with new posts without coming across as me repeating myself. I have tried new posts, like I have done a Gratitude Challenge, Decluttering Challenge, resetting your finances and now I’m writing some cool stories. One of my favourite topics is Music Mondays, it’s where I post an empowering and uplifting song to help you kick start the week.

4. How do you motivate yourself when you feel discouraged?
Whenever I feel discouraged, I normally would either make myself a cup of tea, or meditate, or practice some yoga poses or go for a walk. I either message or talk about it with my boyfriend, or my best friends or my two cousins. I sometimes journal my thoughts and feelings out. I also like to read to book, or even just take a nap. It really depends on the weather and time of day. Any of the above would help me feel better.

5. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
The things I enjoy the most about blogging is being able to spread joy and positive vibes to other people who may be going through challenging times, or just want to make improvements on their lives. I love being able to give someone my feedback from my personal experiences to help people see that it may be difficult to start these new journeys, but the end results are amazing. I just always believe that you can change your life for the better. And that whatever people are going through right now, it’s only temporary, and things do get better.

6. If you could make one wish, what would it be?
This one is so challenging, because there is so many things I would wish for, but I think I would like to be a bit more famous. And I mean that in a good way, because I feel like I have so much to offer to people. I have great ideas on short story ideas, and I just wish everyone would be able to read my ideas. It would be so cool to go on book tours, and go on talk shows and such. With that fame and money, I will be able to donate money and help out communities in need. I like giving back to others.

7. What makes you the happiest and why?
Writing a short story, or reading a new book with a latte. I enjoy getting lost in a story because it’s like escaping to a whole new adventure. As lame as this might sound, but I picture the characters as people I care for, and see them as close friends of mine. Reading and writing helps relax me, and it’s always fun to be creative. It’s good to keep your mind active and sharp.

8. What do you prefer, calling or texting?
I prefer texting, but I don’t mind a phone call from someone dear. I used to save my big and good news for in person, but now during these times, I save any good news for a phone call. Because my Grandpa lives in a retirement home now, I unfortunately can’t visit him like I used to, so I have to call him instead. It makes me sad, but I am glad that I get to talk to him a lot.

9. Are you talker or listener?
Honestly, I like to be both. I like to give people feedback, but I can’t provide people feedback and advice if I don’t listen to people. By being a talker, I can help and encourage people to want to make better changes for themselves.

10. Your hobbies?
I have a bunch of hobbies. I enjoy reading, writing, making and drinking tea. I love listening to music, cooking and blogging.

11. What appeal to you most soul or appearance of a person?
I am more so attracted to someone’s soul. I try not to judge a book or a person by their cover or their appearance. I appreciate a good, kind heart.

My Questions

  1. What is the main purpose of your blog?
  2. What is your ideal perfect day?
  3. What motivates you the most?
  4. How do you deal with stress?
  5. What things makes you the happiest?
  6. What’s your opinion of a bucket list? And why?
  7. Would you rather make lots of money doing a job you hate or would you rather make less money doing something you love?
  8. If you had unlimited amount of money to start your own business, what would it be?
  9. If you can live any where in the world, what would you pick, and why?
  10. What is the one movie you can watch over and over and not get bored of it?
  11. Which character from a book or movie or TV show would make the best roommate? Why?

Answers to the questions addressed to me by Kamal are as;

  1. Where would you be right now if you could be anywhere?
I would love to be in Bali right now, it is on my bucket list of places to visit. It has breath taking views, and it looks like a serene island. I was jealous when I read about Elizabeth Gilbert’s journey to Indonesia in her best selling book, Eat Pray Love. I would learn how to surf, and I would love to pray and meditate in their temples. One of the best temples I have found during my research is the Tirtu Empul Temple. It’s where you bathe in holy water, and you concentrate on what you want most in the world, and when you are bathing, you focus on what you would like. It sounds really like a liberating experience.
  2. What would be your dream 3 course meal?
    Appetizer: Chicken noodle soup
Main Course: Steak, mashed potatoes and corn
    Dessert: Cherry Cheesecake
  3. If you could be any Pokémon, which would it be?
I have only ever seen a few episodes of this show, several of years ago. I would be Pikachu, because he’s super cute and he’s yellow, which is my favourite colour. And then I did my research, it turns out is he is really smart and demonstrates leadership when he needs to.
  4. What’s your favourite sport to watch or participate in?
I liked and have played baseball growing up and in school. My favourite position to play is short stop. My favourite sport to watch is hockey. I have been loving these playoffs hockey in summer. Although I wish my team was doing well.
  5. What’s something that recently made you happy?
Yesterday, I went for a walk, and it was a perfect day, not too hot and not too cold either. I sat in a nearby trail reading my book and writing in my journal. It made me happy because I was also able to brainstorm some cool ideas for my upcoming blog posts. It gave me a change of scenery, which was refreshing.
  6. If you could teach one subject in school what would it be?
I would like to teach accounting, either as a high school teacher or as an university professor. As of right now I may actually want to pursue becoming an accounting professor after retiring from being an accountant. I say this because being an accounting professor I can still travel since the school year only consists of eight months, I’ll still have four months throughout the year to travel. Although that is many years away, so I don’t know for sure yet. But that would be fun.

Six Questions From Me:
1. Would you consider yourself more as an introvert or an extrovert, or both? Explain why.
2. Which quote do you live by the most?
3. What is your biggest accomplishment in your life thus far? And if you haven’t accomplished it yet, talk about what you would like to accomplish.
4. If you were able to travel back in time to tell your younger self something, what would you say?
5. How would you describe your life purpose?

My Answers to Your Questions:
  1. Which one of the 4 seasonings is your favorite? Salt, pepper, ketchup or mayo

I prefer mayo because I use mayo on my burgers and my corn – it’s a Spanish thing. My boyfriend introduced me to that. You can also add Parmesan cheese and hot sauce to it. It’s so good!

2. If you win the grand prize for the lottery, what will you do with the money?

I would invest some of the money and then my boyfriend and I would move out into our first house. I would give our families money so they can buy a new place as well. I would go clothes shopping as well as some new furniture and wall art and such for our new place.

3. (Continued from the question above) Are you OK to be photographed on the newspaper with the prize you win? If not, what kind of crazy mask or costume will you wear?

I would feel comfortable with my photo being taken. But I would have to find the perfect red lip stick to compliment my outfit.

I love romantic comedies but I also enjoy animated films like Aladdin and Finding Nemo. I am looking forward to Finding Dory. I love Dory.

6. If you can own any type of pet, what’s the craziest pet you can think of to own? (It can even be a dinosaur, if you like 🙂

My favourite animals are giraffes. They would be a lot of fun to have. I remember meeting one of my boyfriend’s friend and he asked me if I liked pets and I replied with; “I like giraffes.”

7. Which character on Post a Book is most interesting to you? Why? 🙂

To be honest, I haven’t gotten a chance to read this blog so I can’t say at the moment. I will be sure to read it and provide my answer.

8. If you see a real hundred dollar bill stuck to a lamp post, what’s the first thing you will do?

I would grab it and then treat my boyfriend and I to a cheesecake – cherry cheesecake because cherry is the best. We would also have a hot beverage. Then I would invest in some.

9. You just won an award of your dream, who’s the first person you will thank in your acceptance speech?

My boyfriend!

10. If you can own a vacation home of your dream, where will it be? (It doesn’t have to be by the beach, for example)

I would love to travel to Nairobi, Kenya! It is dream honeymoon so I would be travelling with my boyfriend who will be my future husband one week. Hopefully we are able to stay for a week. It is the only hotel in the world where you can feed giraffes breakfast from the hotel dining room! I always wanted to go there. In fact I would love to start saving for that now.

11. If your house can be built out of any material, what kinds of material will you use? (Please don’t restrict it to gingerbread houses)
